Welcome Atmabandhus!
Adiyen, on behalf of other trustees, welcome you to our website. It has been our earnest endeavour to create a wonderful platform wherein the Supreme knowledge on Sri Sampradaya will be made available to all the devotees who are in search of it.
Sri Sampradaya is one of the four religious’ communities of the Vaishnavas that form the crux of the Hindu religion. It is a classic belief that it was born with the consent of Sriman Narayana and Sri Mahalakshmi thayar. Shri Vishnu is the abode of Shri, which helps to elucidate that Mahalakshmi thayar as our first acharya. Hence, the name Shri Sampradayam.
In this community, the word Shri has been used, which is normally prefixed for ShriDevi and Mahalakshmi. Shri Devi is the mediator between Lord Vishnu and human beings. Vishnu’s beloved Mahalakshmi binds together the devotee, the almighty lord and the Guru in complete unison of devotion. She is instrumental in bringing the devotee under the Almighty’s refuge thus liberating him from all the kinds of miseries.
They composed many songs in glorification of the Supreme lord, Sriman Narayana and his divine incarnations. They propagated the true meaning of Vedas in Tamil, famously called Sri Naalaayira Divya Prabhandam. Nammazhwar was one of the 12 azhwar poet-saints who immersed themselves in the love of Lord Vishnu and who had considerable knowledge of ancient Tamil Literature.
Nammazhwar has composed “Thiruvaimozhi”, a collection of 1102 verses, which are the essence of Sama Veda as well as depicts the auspicious qualities of Sri Ranganatha Perumal. It is considered as the crown among all the 4000 verses written by azhwars called as the “Naalaayira Divya Prabhandam”.
Then, many great acharyas like Sri Nathamuni, his grandson Sri Yamuna acharya and other great Vaishnavas established the truth of supremacy of Sriman Narayana over all living entities and devas (demi gods).
Although, the sampradaya that is originated by Sriman Narayana himself and guarded by Sri Lakshmi Thayar and is passing the true message of Vedas in discipled succession in an unbroken way, Sri Ramanuja acharya takes the credit of bringing all the Vaishnavas under one Umbrella and authoritatively commented on all the scriptures of Vedic literature.
The Nammazhwar was one of the favourites for Sri Ramanuja acharya, Sri Manavala Maamunigal, Sri Vedanta Desikar and all other seers of Vishistadvaitha, due to its essence of our great Vaishnava philosophy and the doctrine of saranagathi. Ramanuja acharya was guided by the hymns of Nammazhwar in finding answers to the Vedic and Upanishadic puzzles.
The natural mother is Sadagopan (Nammazhwar) and the foster mother is Sri Ramanuja acharya since he based his entire kalakshepams on Tiruvaimozhi.
In the Sri Vaishnava tradition, Lord Narayana, along with His Consort, heads the Acharya lineage, and then comes all the other Acharyas who preceded Ramanuja. Ramanuja served all the Acharyas before him. In turn, he was served by his followers. Thus, those who follow Ramanuja’s sampradaya get a connection to the Supreme One through their association with Ramanuja.
The treasure of these devotional hymns has almost faded in to oblivion. It has been our sincere effort to bring about an awareness of the Sri Sampradaya across the world.
The main objective of this trust is to nourish and spread the Sri Sampradaya across the world.
One will be able to find one of the finest knowledge, learn about Sri Sampradayam, connect with various acharyas and participate in various activities related to that. We firmly believe that A nation’s progress depends solely on the progress of the future generation. We would like to train the young minds by nourishing their knowledge and inspiring them to follow the traditional path.
